Frequently Asked Questions 

  1. How do I pay if I don’t have a PayPal account?
    You do not need a PayPal account to register. You can pay as a guest with a credit card. PayPal accepts all major credit cards. You can also contact us and we will arrange for you to pay directly using your credit card.

  2. I registered for the All-Inclusive Package or the A La Carte Package and checked off the breakout sessions that I want to go to. Are they reserved?
     If the selected sessions are not full, then you are reserved. If a session is full, you will be contacted shortly after registration with other options, or you can be placed on a waiting list.

  3. I registered for the A La Carte Package and now want to switch to All-Inclusive.
    What do I need to do to change my registration?

    Email Dave Wyble If you did not pay yet, you will get an invoice for the new increased total. If you paid already, you will be issued a separate PayPal invoice for the difference in cost between the two packages.

  4. How long does it take for my ISCC membership to go through?
    Can I register for the Symposium while I am waiting for confirmation?

    Your membership may not be confirmed for a few days, but you can immediately register for the conference as a member.

  5. I booked a room in the Treehouse Dorm. When can I check in?
    You can check in anytime between 2:00 and 9:00 on the day you arrive.

  6. I will arrive after 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. Can I still check in to the Treehouse Dorm?
    Yes.  When you arrive at the building the security guard will contact the on-call student to check you in. This applies for all attendees arriving anytime between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m

  7. I would like to arrive in Boston on Saturday. Can I spend Saturday night, June 9th, in the Treehouse Dorm?
     Yes. You can add Saturday night to your reservation in the dorm for $60.

  8. What is provided in the rooms at the Treehouse Dorm? 
       The room is furnished with a twin bed, desk, chair, bookcase, dresser and closet for each person.   
       Linens are provided. The Linen Set includes: Sheets, pillow, pillow case, light blanket, two towels and a face cloth per person.
       The bedrooms and bathrooms have ceiling lights and wall outlets but no appliances.
       There is wifi as well as an ethernet connection in each room.
       The rooms are air-conditioned.

  9.    What optional things do you suggest bringing or buying at the bookstore for the dorm room?
             Small desk lamp or reading light of some kind
             Your own pillow if you are particular
             Lightweight throw blanket or wrap if you get chilly in air-conditioning
             Adaptors if coming from outside the US

  10.  Can I cook in the dorm?
    There is a small common kitchen with one shared refrigerator so cooking is possible but not recommended.
     The rooms do not have refrigerators but there are microwaves in the lounges on each floor.

  11.  I am flying into Logan Airport. What is the best way to get to MassArt?
     You can get to MassArt on public transportation or by taxi /ride share apps. Please refer to the Transportation section of the website for details.

  12.  I am driving to MassArt. Where can I park?
    There is no parking on campus but there are parking garages close by. See the list at:
    The closest and least expensive parking garage is three blocks away at the Art Museum as shown on the Parking Map. The cost to park at the museum is $29/day or $15/day for members of the museum. 

  13.  Can I change my breakout session choices or sign up for additional breakout sessions if they're not full?
    Based on space availability, you will be able to change your choices or add breakout sessions when you check in for the Symposium. 

  14. How can guests sign up for breakout sessions and special events?
    Based on space availability, guests will be able to sign up and pay for breakout sessions and special events at the Symposium check-in table in the Atrium on Sunday afternoon starting at 4:00 pm on  June 10th and on Monday morning, June 11th.
